The Empty Page

A map that reveals the darkest secrets of life

We often find empty book pages, making us wonder about their purpose. We sometimes scribble, draw, take notes, or get a paper cut. It has become a game of pick and choose; we still fail to understand its purpose in all cases. This is the story of the mysterious case of the words unspoken

The previously mentioned reasons are viable purposes, and there is nothing wrong with them, but keep band-aids on you if you are an avid reader like myself. However, after reading mountains of books, I discovered that these empty pages help you reflect on what you have read thus far. It is a blank white space that will give you the serenity to introspect and dive deep within your thoughts, seeing how these new pieces of information might play a role in your perception once you flip that page

I have a knack for reflecting on each page or two when reading, and it usually takes me up to a minute, maximum, to reflect thoroughly, at least nowadays. I remember the first time I reflected on something I was reading; it just went on and on for a full hour. It was only at that moment that I have decided to turn my life around

That empty page at the end of the chapter was the moment my life changed forever

I am not asking you to be like me, wanting to absorb every piece of information, analyze it, and apply changes to your mind. That consumes a lot of time. What I am asking of you is to try it once on something you have read that made your brain have an orgasm, that made your arm hair stand for a full 10 minutes straight, and you felt this weird sensation crawling up and down your spine. That is the moment I want you to imagine a blank page and dive deep into your thoughts. You will thank me later

That blank page will always be your blueprint of life

Side note: I also do this while writing. I reflect on my writings because I don’t write from scripts; I write what goes inside my head. It is the feeling of freedom, in the purest form possible, just like a blank page, unstained and endless
